Littelfuse Introduces LSIC2SD065DxxA Series Silicon Carbide Schottky Diodes

According to related news: Littelfuse will introduce 650V silicon carbide Schottky diode at the APEC conference in 2019, which provides new package size and current ratings from 6A to 40A.

Littelfuse, Inc.'s two diodes further expand its second-generation 650V AEC-Q101 compliant silicon carbide Schottky diode family.

Compared with conventional silicon-based devices, the two series of diodes offer great convenience to designers, including negligible reverse recovery current, high surge protection, and a maximum junction temperature of 175 °C.

So the new Littelfuse Silicon Carbide Schottky diode is ideal for these applications that require enhanced efficiency, reliability and thermal management.

These products will be unveiled at the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC 2019) in Anaheim, California.

LSIC2SD065DxxA Series Silicon Carbide Schottky Diodes are available in 6A, 10A or 16A rated currents in TO‐263-2L packages. LSIC2SD065ExxCCA Series Silicon Carbide Schottky Diodes are available in 12A, 16A, 20A or 40A rated currents with TO-247 -3L package.

These SiC Schottky diodes dissipate less energy than standard silicon bipolar power diodes and it can operate at higher junction temperatures. Compared to other solutions, the required heat sink and system take up less space. These advantages provide end users with a more compact, energy-efficient system and potentially lower total cost of ownership.
