The IL41050T-3E isolated CAN transceiver comes in a narrow-body, RoHS-compliant, 16-pin, 0.15-in., 2.5-mm-clearance, low-profile SOIC package. The chip fully complies with the ISO 11898 CAN standard and interfaces with 3- or 5-V MCUs.

The IC’s nonvolatile programmable power-up feature prevents unstable nodes. The chip features transmit data dominant time-out, thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, 2,500-V isolation, typical transient immunity of 30 kV/µs, edge-triggered inputs, best-in-class loop delay of 180 ns, and operation from –55° to 125°C.
