IP68-rated connector eliminates serial cables

The PX0885 Buccaneer self-pairing Bluetooth cable replacement connector allows equipment with RS-485 or RS-232 data ports to communicate using wireless Bluetooth technology. The connector offers a wireless communication range up to 100 m, and can make transparent point-to-point or multidrop data connections without PC, PLC, or Bluetooth software.

Dust and waterproof to IP68 EN60529 when mated, the connector can be mounted internally or externally. Communication baud rate, parity, stop bits and flow control can be reconfigured with a downloadable software application. (Class 1 version master and slave, approx. $250 each — available now.)
