Difference between SIT1602 and SIT8008

SiT1602 and SiT8008 are SiTime's low-power single-ended MEMS silicon oscillators with output level compatible with LVCMOS/LVTTL and low power consumption up to 3.6mA, which are the upgraded models of SiT8102 / SiT8103 / SiT8002 / SiT8003 / SiT8004 / SiT8003XT and so on. SiT1602, SiT80002, SiT8002, SiT8003, SiT8004, SiT8003XT, etc.

The SiT1602 and SiT8008 low-power active crystals are widely used in video surveillance, FPGA control, high-end switches, industrial controllers, and consumer electronics.

SiT1602, SiT8008 low-power active crystal operating current is lower than traditional quartz products, its excellent anti-shock, shock resistance is incomparable to conventional quartz, especially its entire temperature range of the horizontal temperature drift curve characteristics, optimizing the traditional quartz crystal precision with the inherent disadvantages of the dramatic changes in time. The SiT8008 has become the mainstream clock source of choice for today's intelligent hardware design teams.

The SiT1602 and SiT8008 are identical in footprint definition, package size, and pad location.

The only difference between the SiT1602 and SiT8008 series is the frequency.

The SiT1602 supports only 52 fixed frequencies between 3.57 MHz - 77.76 MHz. These frequencies are listed in the SiT1602 datasheet.


The SiT8008 supports any fixed frequencies between 1 and 110MHz, accurate to 6 decimal places. As long as the selected frequency value is in this range, it can be satisfied, such as 25.000625MHz, 25.000000MHz, and 25.123456MHz.


In summary, the SiT8008 offers more frequency options than the SiT1602. As a programmable single-ended low jitter active crystal, the SiT8008 dramatically enhances the flexibility of product applications.
