Crystal comes in ultra-miniature size

CTS Corporation announced the smallest member of its quartz crystal products, Model 402. The product is housed in a 2.0-mm x 1.6-mm seam sealed ceramic four-pad surface mount package – providing desirable accuracy and long-term reliability. Its small form factor is appropriate for high-density board applications covering a wide range of products including wireless communications, Bluetooth and USB interfaces, handheld devices such as PDAs and instrumentation, audiovisual, notebooks and other computer peripherals. Additionally, the Model 402 features:

• Frequency ranging between 16 MHz and 60 MHz.
• Calibration tolerance of ±20 ppm.
• Frequency stability of ±30 ppm.
• Operating temperature at -40°C to +85°C.
• RoHS 6/6 compliance.
