Inductor
Inductors are energy storage components that convert electrical energy into magnetic energy storage. It is similar to a transformer, but the inductor has only one winding. What is the role of the inductor?
1. The role of inductors in alternating current
In an alternating current, an alternating current flows into the inductor, at which point the inductor blocks its change. It won't make it big at once and it will slowly increase. When the AC power is lost, the inductor will not let it disappear at once, but slowly let it slowly become smaller until it is completely lost!
This process can be seen clearly by the brightness of the incandescent lamp. In the AC circuit, the inductor, incandescent lamp, switch, etc. are connected in series in the circuit. 2, inductive filtering
In a DC circuit, when a current flows through the inductor, an induced magnetic field is generated in the coil instantaneously, and the magnetic field induces a current, and the induced current and the current flowing in the opposite direction prevent the external current from flowing. The current flowing through is stabilized, and the induced magnetic field does not change any more, so that the direct current can flow smoothly. From this process, we can see that the inductance actually hinders the change of current. When the alternating current is passed, since the current of the alternating current changes at the moment, the inductance always resists with this change, hindering the passage of the alternating current.
The blocking effect of the inductor on the alternating current is called the inductive reactance. It is related to the frequency and inductance of the alternating current. The higher the alternating frequency, the larger the inductance and the greater the inductive reactance. With this characteristic, we often use it in the power supply filtering. The above figure is a π-type filter circuit composed of a capacitor and an inductor. Since the DC signal after capacitor filtering has some small fluctuations, the inductor can block the current change, so that it can suppress these small fluctuations. Output more pure DC power.
3, the other role of the inductor
In addition to the above blocking and filtering effects, the inductor also has the function of suppressing electromagnetic interference, filtering signals, stabilizing current, and filtering noise.
