Cypress Semiconductor, the world's leading provider of embedded solutions, recently announced the release of the PSoC® 4700S family of MCUs.
The PSoC 4700 Family adds advanced sensing technologies to the 32-bit Arm Cortex-M0/M0+ PSoC 4 Portfolio of products to enable innovative next-generation solutions.
The product also includes the industry-leading Cypress CapSense® capacitive sensing technology, enabling developers in the consumer, industrial and automotive industries to use metal or other materials to achieve novel, avant-garde product designs.
The highly integrated PSoC MCU helps reduce BOM cost and provides excellent noise immunity, ensuring reliable operation under extreme environmental conditions, making cost-effective system design possible.
In addition, Cypress also introduced the new CY8CKIT-148 PSoC 4700S inductive sensing evaluation kit.
The kit is a low-cost hardware platform for designing and debugging this family of MCUs, including MagSense inductive sensing buttons, a proximity sensor and FPC connectors.
Cypress's PSoC CreatorTM integrated design environment (IDE) supports product design based on the PSoC 4700S series, allowing users to drag and drop mass-produced hardware modules such as MagSenses inductive sensing through a simple graphical interface.
The PSoC 4700S Series MCUs integrate the hardware as belows:· 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core· Up to 32KB of flash memory and up to 4KB of SRAM· 36 GPIOs· 7 programmable analog modules· 7 programmable digital modules· Supports up to 16 sensors for pushbutton, linear and rotary encoders, and proximity sensing.
