ADI release 5V,10A Synchronous Step-Down Silent Switcher 2_LTC3310S

Published time: 2018-11-06

Beijing, November 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Analog Devices. Inc. (ADI) announces the launch of Power by LinearTM LTC3310S.This is a 5V, 10A low EMI monolithic synchronous buck converter.

The fixed frequency peak current mode architecture of this electronic component is ideal for high step-down ratio applications that require fast transient response.

The LTC3310S features a Silent Switcher®2 architecture with integrated thermal loop bypass capacitors for high efficiency, small footprint applications (up to 5MHz) and excellent EMI performance.

Multiphase operation allows direct paralleling of multiple devices to provide higher output current. The LTC3310S's 2.25V to 5.5V input range supports a wide range of applications, including most intermediate bus voltages.

The integrated low on-resistance MOSFET provides up to 10A of continuous load current with minimal thermal derating.

The output voltage range of 0.5V to VIN is ideal for point-of-load applications such as high current/low voltage DSP/FPGA/GPU/ASIC reference designs.

5V, 10A low EMI monolithic synchronous buck converter_LTC3310S

The LTC3310S can be turned on within 35ns and can achieve high step-down ratio power supplies at high frequencies. The 100% duty cycle operation provides low dropout performance.

The overall reference voltage accuracy of the LTC3310S is between –40 degrees Celsius and 125 degrees Celsius. +/- 1% of the operating junction temperature range.

Other features include a power good signal when the output is in regulation, precision enable threshold, output overvoltage protection, thermal shutdown, a temperature monitor, clock synchronization, mode selection and output short circuit protection.

The LTC3310S is available in a thermally enhanced 18-lead 3mm x 3mm x 0.94mm LQFN package.

Class E and Class I device specifications operate over a range of operating junction temperatures from –40 degrees Celsius to 125 degrees Celsius.

The Description from Analog Devices.Inc LTC3310S datasheet

The LTC3310S is a very small, low noise, monolithic step-down DC/DC converter capable of providing up to 10A of output current from a 2.25V to 5.5V input supply.

The LTC3310S uses a constant frequency, peak current mode control architecture for fast transient response. A 500mV reference allows for low voltage outputs. 100% duty cycle operation delivers low drop out.
