R828D Product Details
In heritage from Rafael Micro’s state-of-the-art architecture, the R828D advanced hybrid silicon tuner achieves the lowest
power consumption and the smallest font factor. R828D offers unmatchable RF performance for all analog and digital
broadcast television standards including PAL, NTSC, SECAM, DVB-T/T2, ATSC, DMB-T, ISDB-T, DVB-C and OpenCable.
With innovative AccTuneTM and TrueRFTM mechanisms, R828D provides superior performance in sensitivity, linearity,
adjacent channel immunity, and image rejection. The chipembeds a smart power detector to optimize different input
power scenarios as well as the spurious free dynamic range.
The R828D is a highly integrated silicon tuner that builds in low noise amplifier (LNA), mixer, fractional PLL, VGA, voltage
regulator and tracking filter, eliminating the need for external SAW filters, LNA, balun, and LDO. Thanks the dual LNAs
architecture, R828D offers the lowest cost solution for Dual-in Hybrid TV application without an expensive RF switch in the
front end. Instead, only a low cost pin diode circuit is needed to achieve excellent RF isolation. On-chip LDO, dual LNAs,
and small package enable R828D the perfect solution for both cost and font factor sensitive applications.
With proprietary GreenRF techniques, R828D achieves both high performance and the lowest power consumption which
perfectly compliant with the worldwide trend. The R828D comes in a small and thin QFN RoHs compliant package.
