MSD7C28L-LF-L1 Product Details

The MSD7C28L is a highly integrated ASIC for STB (Set-Top Box) applications. It is configured with a DVB-C
demodulator, a transport stream de-multiplexer with time-shifting capabilities and limited recording of another
TS stream, a DVB-CSA descrambler, smartcard interface, an MPEG-2 MP@HL AV decoder, an H.264 video
decoder compliant with ITU-T H.264, ISO/IEC 14496-10, a digital video encoder for supporting
CVBS/S-Video/YPbPr SD and HD outputs, and an HDMI transmitter up to 1080i.

For multimedia applications, the MSD7C28L includes one USB 2.0 Host controller and one USB 2.0 Host/OTG

controller, a 100/10 Mbps Ethernet MAC with RMII or an SDIO interface (configurable), an MPEG-4 A/V decoder,
and a hardware JPEG decoder, making it possible for the MSD7C28L to decode media files via these external
sources.

By integrating peripherals including RTC, UART, IR, SPI, I2C, SAR, and PWM, the MSD7C28L fulfills the

requirements of most advanced STB sets.
