IDT7201LA50DB Product Details
The IDT7200 is a dual-port memory designed to load and empty data on a first-in/first-out basis. This device utilizes Full and Empty flags to prevent data overflow and underflow, with expansion logic allowing for unlimited expansion capability in both word size and depth.
Sequential reads and writes are facilitated internally through ring pointers, eliminating the need for address information to load and unload data. Data is toggled in and out of the device using the Write (W) and Read (R) pins.
Featuring a 9-bit wide data array, the IDT7200 enables control and parity bits at the user's discretion, making it particularly useful in data communications applications where a parity bit is necessary for error checking during transmission/reception. Additionally, it includes a Retransmit (RT) capability that resets the read pointer to its initial position when RT is pulsed LOW, allowing for retransmission from the beginning of data. In single device mode and width expansion modes, a Half-Full Flag is available.
Manufactured using IDT's high-speed CMOS technology, these FIFOs are designed for applications requiring asynchronous and simultaneous read/writes, particularly in multiprocessing and rate buffer applications. The military-grade product is manufactured in compliance with the latest revision of MIL-STD-883, Class B.
